We Made Volcanoes

I really love doing hands on stuff with the kids and I think this was one of my fav's.  Last week we made our own volcanoes, out of modeling clay.

Then, we made "lava" out of baking soda and vinegar.  We used balsamic vinegar because that was all I had, it looked more like real lava.  The kids also added red food coloring just for fun.
