Here I am to Worship

by Chris Tomlin

Light of the world
You stepped down into darkness.
Opened my eyes, let me see.
Beauty that made this heart adore You
Hope of a life spent with You

Here I am to worship,
Here I am to bow down,
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
All together worthy,
All together wonderful to me

King of all days
oh, so highly exalted
Glorious in heaven above
Humbly You came
To the earth You created
All for love's sake became poor

Here I am to worship,
Here I am to bow down,
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
All together worthy,
All together wonderful to me

I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
I'll never know how much it cost

Here I am to worship,
Here I am to bow down,
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
All together worthy,
All together wonderful to me

Here I am to worship,
Here I am to bow down,
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
All together worthy,
All together wonderful to me

I'll never know how much it cost
to see my sins upon that cross--

As a Christian, I am so thankful that Jesus paid it all! I will NEVER know the suffering and pain for my sins. Jesus paid for my every sin when He died on the cross.  It just amazes me that He loved me, a sinner, so much that he would take my pain and suffering so that I wouldn't have to.
It also amazes and humbles me that everytime the Father looks upon me, He sees His Son, Christ Jesus!

You can listen to Here I am To Worship, here.

Thank you for this precious reminder. I was telling my kids in Sunday school today this very same thing. God gave it all for us! We are blessed beyond anything we could ever comprehend.:) Praise the Lord! Stopping by from the Crew! Lori

One of my favourites new songs. Your blog is lovely. I usually have a sunday song or hymn as well. Except sometimes I fall of the wagon :) Stopping by from the crew.
