Handmade Holidays #3 - Where's Bugger Game

The third gift idea that I would like to suggest to you is a fun little game called Where's Bugger?  This game sounded so cool to me the first time I heard about it and I couldn't wait to try it out.  Where's Bugger was created by Jana over at the Etsy Shop called Dragonfly9012.

What in the world is it, you are probably wondering.  Where's Bugger? is a hide and seek game with a twist.  It is a oval shaped timer that you get to decorate and personalize, with the paint kit that is included, and then hide.  You can hide Bugger and the kids get to run around to find him,after 2 minutes Bugger gives the kids a hint to know where he is.  At this point, the race is on!  who will find him first!!  See, check it out....

This would be perfect for indoor or outdoor play and great for a birthday party game.  You can purchase your own Where is Bugger? and Paint Kit for only $13.00

What a cute way to decorate Bugger!!

Not only has Jana created Where's Bugger? but she has a wonderful talent in sewing.  She makes gorgeous personalized burp clothes, diaper covers, hair accessories and more.

All Hail the Power of Jesus Name

by Edward Perronet

All hail the power of Jesus’ Name! Let angels prostrate fall;
Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all.
Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all.

Let highborn seraphs tune the lyre, and as they tune it, fall
Before His face who tunes their choir, and crown Him Lord of all.
Before His face who tunes their choir, and crown Him Lord of all.

Crown Him, ye morning stars of light, who fixed this floating ball;
Now hail the strength of Israel’s might, and crown Him Lord of all.
Now hail the strength of Israel’s might, and crown Him Lord of all.

Crown Him, ye martyrs of your God, who from His altar call;
Extol the Stem of Jesse’s Rod, and crown Him Lord of all.
Extol the Stem of Jesse’s Rod, and crown Him Lord of all.

Ye seed of Israel’s chosen race, ye ransomed from the fall,
Hail Him who saves you by His grace, and crown Him Lord of all.
Hail Him who saves you by His grace, and crown Him Lord of all.

Hail Him, ye heirs of David’s line, whom David Lord did call,
The God incarnate, Man divine, and crown Him Lord of all,
The God incarnate, Man divine, and crown Him Lord of all.

Sinners, whose love can ne’er forget the wormwood and the gall,
Go spread your trophies at His feet, and crown Him Lord of all.
Go spread your trophies at His feet, and crown Him Lord of all.

Let every tribe and every tongue before Him prostrate fall
And shout in universal song the crownèd Lord of all.
And shout in universal song the crownèd Lord of all.

Handmade Holidays #2 - Fabric 123 Magnets Review & Giveaway

The second great gift idea that I would like to share with you all is a set of Fabric 123 Magnets.  This set is from Kara who has set up sop as Three3Peas on Etsy.com.

This fun and fabulous set includes numbers from 0 to 9.   Not only are these numbers CUTE and WHIMSICAL but the are totally EDUCATIONAL too!  Little Bits & Alpha Boy will have such a great time counting with these and putting them in order on the refrigerator.

How cute for a  little girl!!

I plan to pair the magnetic numbers with a cookie sheet and math counters, these little babies should help give the boys something educational to do while I am working with their sisters.  They can put the numbers in order and then count out the right amount of dinosaurs, bears or cars under each number.
Kara also makes fabric letter magnets, bibs, decorative flags, cloth napkins and personalized year pillows. The Fabric 123 Magnets sell for only $10 and the Letters sell for $26.  I personally LOVE the fabric letter magnets.  They just look so fun, way more fun than those hard plastic ones we currently have.  See look...

What little girl wouldn't like to learn how to spell with these letters?

As you can see, the letter and number sets can be made gender specific or neutral.

Kara from Three3Peas has kindly offered to GIVEAWAY a set of her Fabric 123 Magnets to one of YOU!  This giveaway with run until December 10, 2010.  Here is how you can enter:

TOS Crew: The Master Ruler

We were given several products to review from Master Innovations, they were the Standard Master Ruler, the Metric Master Ruler and a Master Ruler workbook.

The Master Rulers are actually several rulers in one.  Each fraction of measurement has a separate layer and color to distinguish them from the others.  For instance, the inches layer is red, the 1/2 marks are on another layer and are blue, the 1/4 marks are green and the 1/8 marks are orange.  This is the easiest ruler that I have ever used!  The color coded layers make this ruler so simple to use.

Both of the girls have used the Master Ruler and found it to be very helpful but Computer Girl has been using it the most.  She has used the Standard Master Ruler to work in the Master Ruler workbook, which has been practice and for her regular math book.  The separate layers make measuring a breeze for her.  It also gives her a better understanding of fractions.

Computer Girl measuring with the inches layer.

Here she is using the 1/2 inch layers.

The Standard Master Ruler sells for $9.95, which seems well worth the price.  I imagine that this ruler would last a very long time if taken care of.  Master Innovations also offers other educational products, such as well, like the Master Clock, Master Angles and Master Fractions ranging in price from $5.95 to $17.95.
